Lars Eriksson

Lars Eriksson is a principal DevOps engineer at a Stockholm-based SaaS company serving enterprise clients across Scandinavia and Northern Europe. With two decades of experience in systems engineering and a deep passion for developer productivity, Lars has become one of the leading voices in the Nordic tech community on the subject of internal developer platforms (IDPs) and platform engineering as a discipline. His flagship achievement at his current employer was architecting and delivering an internal developer platform now used by over 600 engineers across five product teams. The platform — built on Backstage, ArgoCD, and a custom Helm chart registry — reduced median deployment cycle time from two weeks to under two hours, and cut environment provisioning time from days to minutes. The project won the company's annual engineering excellence award and has been referenced in a Gartner report on enterprise DevOps maturity. Lars holds a degree in Systems Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has contributed to the CNCF TAG App Delivery working group.
